I will never forget singing these lyrics at a Mercy Me concert at a baseball field in Chattanooga, right after my brother suffered a horrible motorcycle accident. And I will never forget my eyes filling up with tears, as I sang this song with a new reality, a new understanding of what it meant to trust God through the fires of life.

Even if everything goes wrong, I will trust you.

Even if the healing doesn't happen, I will trust you.

Even if this person doesn't make it, I will trust you.

Even if I fail a thousand times, I will trust you.

Because God, your goodness. God, your goodness, your faithfulness, your love for me and for this world does not depend the slightest amount on the events that happen in my life or specific outcomes. God you are good because the Word of God says you are. God you are faithful because you have proven yourself faithful through the Bible since the beginning of Creation. And you love me God, because you sent your son to die on a cross for my sins.

Nothing that happens in this life, can change that. Nothing that happens in my life can affect your character Lord and who you are . Nothing will ever change the fact that your love for me is steadfast, Your Word is true.

It's easier to believe this in life when everything is going well. It's an easier song to sing, when you've recently experienced a victory or a healing. But friends, we have to practice singing praise songs to God regardless of the terrible situations in our life. Because nothing will ever change the fact that He is worthy of praise. Because God is good, because Jesus died on the cross for our sins so we can live in heaven with Him, it is well with our souls.

So may we experience peace, knowing that the God of the Universe, is on our side. That He has prepared a mansion for us. And He is coming soon to take us home to glory.

Even if your world is crashing down... we have a heavenly mansion being prepared for us.
