So one of the projects Mara West has been working on is building a secondary school for Masai girls who live nearby to attend high school. This is one of the first high school's around here for girls because it is normally quite difficult for girls to receive higher education. Currently there are about 50 girls attending the high school.
I got to go speak to the girls at the school and talk to them about being a women, health, and God. When I asked them if they had any questions I realized they had many questions about sex, risk factors, and birth control methods. I went back to the school this week and tried to answer their questions and teach them about why God created sex, abstinence, safe sex, and family planning.
This week the girls went home for break but when they return I am going to try and start doing some weekly Bible studies with a few of the girls.
