"God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need him. We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom, courageous in sea storm and earthquake, Before the rush and roar of oceans, the tremors that shift mountains. Jacob-wrestling God fights for us, God- of- Angel- Armies protects us." Psalm 46:1-3
A friend shared this chapter in Psalm 46 with me, and I love it. God is constantly our refuge and help in times of trouble. He is the same God who has been with the Israelites as they were moving out of slavery from the Egyptians, crossing the Red Sea, and trying to fight off snakes and hunger on their way to the promise land. This God is the "I am" the same God who blessed Jacob after wrestling with Him in his shame and helped him reunite his family again. He's the same God who saved Daniel from the lions den. He is a good and faithful Father.
We don't have to be afraid.
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. I don't give to you in the way the world gives it to you. Trust in God. Don't be afraid." John 14:27
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and your staff; they comfort me." Psalm 23:4
"Do not fear for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
Whatever uncertainty you are facing in your life right now- maybe because of corona virus- or a special situation, God is the God of peace who always fulfills His promises. We can claim God's promises for whatever uncertain situation and have faith that He will always provide a way for us.
