On trusting more fully

Are you afraid to surrender? Afraid God may ask you to do something you do not want to do?

What if he hurts you and the pain is too much? What if his calling for your life is too hard? What if his plans for your future relationship are different than the one you are in now? What if he asks you to change or move or give up something you really want?

Oh friends I hear you. I hear the fear in your voice, the shakiness, the insecurity. I hear your questions, your wanderings, the desire for answers..

God sees your fear too. He sees your weary heart, he sees the desires of your soul.

This is what I want to encourage you...

That God has good plans for you.

Even the sparrows, have a place to lay their head. So why should I let worry steal my breath?

Oh friends, the God who cares for the sparrows and the blue jays... cares for me and you. His care and love is deeper than what we can comprehend. And friends, God knows you. God knows the desires of your heart and God has good plans for you to prosper you and not to harm you.

So we have to believe, that if God has a different plan than what we are now imagining for our life- that it is better. And that if God has a calling for us, a place he wants to take us- that it will be for our good. We have to believe that He is a trustworthy Father, a true friend, a deliverer, the giver of peace, and the giver of every good gift in our lives.

I say this to remind me, to remind you, that our Lord is trustworthy and that he is good. He has the best life in store for us ahead- a life without tears, heartache, pain, and grief. He has planned a heavenly mansion for us to live in with Him.

So in this life now, though I may not always understand Him... though I may struggle to know His ways and plans.... I will choose to trust and surrender my life to Him.

"As for me and my house we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15

"But now this is what the Lord says... Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine." Isaiah 43:1
