Psalm 104

Praise the Lord, O my Soul, for everything that He created is good.

He wraps Himself in light, darkness tries to hide.

He stretches out the clouds like a tent, and makes the clouds his chariot.

He makes wind his messengers, flames of fire his servants.

He set the earth on its foundations, it can never be moved.

He covered it with the deep as with a garment.

He sent the waters into the valleys in a place he assigned for them.

He put the springs water into the ravines flowing between the mountains.

He makes the grass grow for the cattle.

He waters the trees of Lebanon he has planted.

He makes the moon to mark off the seasons.

He directs the darkness as well as the light.

How many are His works- that He created everything.

Every creature, big and small, made by the hand of God.

Every animal and plant look to God to give them food at the proper time.

And when He opens his hand they are satisfied with every good thing.

Nature testifies of God's goodness and provision. Every tree, every river, every raging ocean, and high mountain shows us the beauty, faithfulness, and mercy of God. In every test we give God, he proves faithful. So why don't we trust Him more?

As the song "So will I" by Hillsong United says:

If the stars were made to worship so will I If the mountains bow in reverence so will I If the oceans roar Your greatness so will I For if everything exists to lift You high so will I

Everything in Creation, shows us that God is love and that we were created to love God back and to praise Him.

As humans we are constantly tempted to trust in ourselves, to trust in our own abilities, and to question God's plans for our life. But we will only find true joy, when we learn like the birds and the lions, the wind and the waves, to surrender ourselves to God and to trust in His perfect plans for our life.
