Oh God I need you. I need your rest your quietness and your peace. I yearn for Your presence in my life.
"As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, Oh my God. My soul thirsts for God, the living God, where can I go to meet with God?" Psalm 42:1,2
Only You God give me peace, give me purpose, give me joy.
Only You oh God can satisfy each and every desire of my heart.
"These things I remember as I pour out my soul; how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng. Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me?"Psalm 42: 5
Where have you gone Father? Are you far away? Or was I the one who was running all this time?
Oh Lord I want it back. I want that fire to grow again. It's dim right now it's just a flame. But You Oh Lord say with just a little flame, you can set the world on fire. So start with me Lord. Set my heart on fire Lord. I need you Father. I need you Lord to be my rock, my King, my Salvation. Lord Jesus, I want my union with You to be healed. I want my heart to be set on fire again with Your Holy Spirit. I want to be yours, only yours.
"Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." (Psalm 42:5)
If you are discouraged, look to God, trust in God and praise Him. He will give you strength and song. He will rewrite your days with gladness and hope again. God will give you a new song to sing and you will find purpose again in your life by surrendering your life to Him.
