Stillness
The world spins...
but sometimes the world in our head spins faster.
Faster than we can accomplish, faster than what we can do, faster than we can keep up. Our minds spin, the distractions pile up all around us, they make so much noise fighting for our attention, our thoughts, and a place in our hearts.
And yet God says
Be still.
Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
Walk by faith. Not run by faith. Walk, because this road through life is long and hard. You will need your strength, your patience, your endurance.

There is something so beautiful and so spiritual about silence.
Have you ever just embraced someone, not talking just taking in their presence, or sat beside a river or a mountain with no words. Just gratitude, just appreciation, being fully present in the moment. It's a gift from God.
In this world, the devil presses to distract. He tries to destroy us, to take away our joy and salvation, and one way he does this is distraction and busyness. The devil throws thoughts in our brain that go so fast, he throws images on the screen or computer that overwhelm our mind, he throws ideas and vacation plans at our hearts and we expect to accomplish, achieve, and do it all.
And yet God says be still... Seek me and you will find me. You will find satisfaction for your hearts only when you abide in me, only when you spend time with me.
Psalm 27:4 "One thing I ask of the Lord, this only do I seek. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in his temple."
So I ask you today, what would it look like for you to dwell in the house of the Lord? What would it look like to gaze at the beauty of Christ?
May we find joy and salvation as we slow down and walk with Christ, abiding in His presence.
