To My Rescue

Updated: Aug 12, 2019

"I hear you whisper underneath your breath (Help). I hear your SOS your SOS. I will send out an army to find you in the middle of the darkest night it's true, I will rescue you.

I will never stop marching to reach you in the middle of the hardest fight. It's true I will rescue you." - Lauren Daigle

In Exodus 3: 7 the Lord is revealing Himself through a burning bush to Moses- an Israelite whose people have experienced much hardship and persecution. "The Lord says, I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them out of that land and into a good and spacious land- a land flowing with milk and honey."

Friends, God is our rescuer. He is drawing us out. Taking us from the brokenness, from the empty and lonely valleys. He is taking us to sweeter and richer mountain tops, fertile gardens. He loves to save us.

No matter what battle you are fighting, what pit you've fallen into, what struggle you are facing: He's the God who sees and knows you. He's the God who came to rescue you.

Friends, He's the God who has rescued me from the pit and brought me up to see new life. He's the God who went with me- to Kenya- he protected me. He was with me every step. He saw my struggles and he met me there. He carried me when I was too weak to walk. And He's the God who's now bringing even more restoration into my life.

Let's praise Him because truly He's a faithful God- a faithful rescuer. He rescues His children. Oh that we might see- that the healing to our hearts, and to the world- can never be bought or paid for but can only be experienced from meeting Christ Jesus. Oh to know Him- to know His love is better than life- to know Him is for our hearts and souls to be filled with complete joy and peace.
